Caption : I’m told that I take a few too many risks (from my mother, mostly), especially if it means a good photograph. This may be one of those incidents. In this shot, I have crawled inside an ice cave at Reid Glacier to try and capture the beautiful shades of blue that you can find inside these caves. The danger in this activity lies in the fact that glaciers are not particularly stable, they do a lot of calving, and I’d be a fool to not be fully aware that the ice cave that I was standing inside in this photograph is likely not there today. That being said, I try not to take my time when exploring these caves…go in, get my shot, and then get out before I overstay my welcome…
