Caption : Humpback whales sometimes feed as a group in a method known as bubblenetting. They dive down and release air bubbles in a circle that concentrates their prey. The baleen whales then surface on signal, taking in huge mouthfuls of ocean water and food. Most Humpbacks do not feed this way - these were photographed near Juneau. Most Glacier Bay Humpbacks feed alone or in pairs.
