Caption : | One of the most photographed sites in my hometown of Gustavus, Alaska is our old-time gas station. While the 1950s era gas pumps are fully functional, they are connected to a modern credit card processing machine. In fact, Gustavus boasts that these pumps were the first in the state to have such a system. Prior to the machine’s installation, the pumps were only open for limited hours every Tuesday and Saturday. |
