It was great to have Solarstone back in SF, this time for a day show, which worked out just fine for me as I had just gotten back from Texas Eclipse Festival less than 24H earlier, and was kind of jetlagged in the wrong direction :)
The 2nd good luck is I'm not a fan of outdoor shows, especially in SF where weather is unpredictable, and sure enough it rained that day, so the show was brought indoors, which was perfect for me, I much prefer dark anyway :)
Solarstone did a lovely OTC from 15:00 to 20:00, starting nice and easy, and ending with a long list of bangers:
Great to run into friends again:
We had a fantastic time, and Rich was nice enough to stay for pictures until we all go kicked out:
We were supposed to have Ms Monique at Public Works, but unfortunately she got sick and had to cancel, so we did our own night with locals. It definitely was a mix of differnet kinds of music, but nice to be out in our local club again.
Timing was interesting, I was still on a dive boat in Honduras that morning, but thankfully flights lined up just right so that I was able to get to Public Works directly from the airport, before the show started saturday night, with just minutes to spare :)
It had been a while since we got Marlo in CA, so it was great to have him in SF at Public Works, and also great to have At Dusk open with a great 2.5H set:
Fun to see people and friends again:
Then it was time for Marlo, another great set full of energy:
Astrix is one of my favorite psytrance DJ, and even within the genre, he is definitely a one of a kind. It was great to have him come visit us in SF, and even better that we had our local Seventh Sign open up, and our psytrance queen Khromata after that.
Seventh Sign:
Khromata was next:
Great to see the fun crowds having fun again:
And Astrix ended the night and took pictures for us:
Great to have Paul van Dyk back, this time for a new label, Venture-X, more progressive and techno sounding.
Thanks to Oleksandr and Reznor for opening:
Great to have Bryan Kearney with us this week, and lucky me, he played trance that was more melodic trance than hard/tech trance, which I loved :)
TFSF's Sony Jacob opened the night for us:
we celebrated Sony's BD
I even made a screen for him :)
he even got cake
Nice to see friends and happy crowds:
Bryan Kearney nicely did a meet and greet with a few contest winners and then took over for a great 3H set:
Great to start TFSF's new year with Blastoyz at Public Works for his US club touring debut, yeah for us!
Martin Cisco opened for us, including a great new mix of Gamemaster:
it was Anna's Birthday celebration too
glad to re-unite with friends
Anna had many friends come for her BD:
After Martin, Triode took over:
Then Blastoyz came and took over around midnight:
he nicely did a meet and greet
shots!
Blastoyz even got a cake :)
Back on the dancefloor to meet people and enjoy the sets.
And then got to enjoy Blastoyz's psytrance:
wonderful lasers
Thanks all for the great night. Here is a short video summary:
