Leiden is a charming little town with lots to see and only about 30-40mn from Amsterdam. I had already been in 2021.
This gave me the time to see other sights this time around:

Since it was only a half day, it was over soon, but Corpus, a science museum on the human body, was open late, so I went:
While I have some family in Rotterdam, I knew it was not the most exciting city to visit, so I hadn't been back since my last time in the early 1990's, but thanks to ASOT being in Rotterdam, it was an excuse to go back. It's a faily industrial city, with a few worthwhile museums, and others that are so-so. It does have a few nice views here and there.
The well known highlight is of course the cube houses, that are still being rented and being used by intrepid people:

There was a museum park with museums of varying quality and you had to pay a non trivial price to enter each of them (higher than some felt worth). The natural history one, was ok though:
