The flight down was very easy although slow due to head wind:

I didn't even know there was a small ski resort north of San Bernardino

San Bernardino is not a busy airport, it's used for plane storage

After the event, the flight home was at the perfect time before storms were due to arrive at destination:

Then, my favorite is Edwards Air Force Base, which you're allowed to overfly on sundays when it's not being used. Super cool:
